Project Mozambique
Working with the churches of Mozambique as they seek to serve their local communities
Registration charity - 1074456
One of the greatest needs within many churches in Mozambique is in the training and equipping of the church leaders and their congregations so that they can have a greater knowledge and a better understanding God’s Word - The Bible. This is done in a number of ways, such as with the provision of Bibles, seminars, and Christian literature. We also prepare and distribute Bible studies, while at the same time we use additional material that has been prepared by other missions for Africa. Our aim is to help equip church leaders and their congregations so that those local churches can help make a positive difference in their local communities; reflecting in those communities Christ’s light, love and concern for all people.

Bibles study courses - Last year we lunched Bible study courses that can be used by rural churches. The courses are simple, and the churches are able to run the courses themselves. They are administered and distributed by Inácio who is a member of our team. The fruit that we see from this work is very encouraging, and it is worth reading some of the feedback we get on our news and prayer page. On the right Inácio can be seen on his way out to one of the rural communities. He is equipped with tent for sleeping over night in such areas.
Some of the material we use is prepared and printed at our base in Manga, just outside of Beira. In the photo on the left Inácio, Domingos, and Maria are putting material together which has recently been printed.

The programs that we do in supporting the church leaders and their congregations runs along side all of our other programs. For example the Scripture tape work provides a very effective tool for teaching the Bible, while the projection of the Jesus film, back up with leaflets (tracts) that we leave, provides a very powerful tool for evangelism.
The aim of this work is to help people gain a greater understanding of who Jesus is, and what He has done for all of us, including through His death and resurrection. It is to help people to know Jesus in a personal way, which is what He wants for all of us, and to know the living hope that we all can have in Christ Jesus.
