Many thanks for all your prayers which are so important for us as a family, for our team, and for the work.
During the past months one member of our team, Inácio, has been learning to drive. The reason for this is so that he will be able to use our Land Rover to help in such areas of work, such as with the showing of the Jesus film. He will soon be taking his test, please do pray that the test goes well. In the photo on the right shows Inácio sat behind the steering wheel, to get the feel of what it will be like once he has past his test. In the meantime Inácio has already passed his motorbike test, so shortly we will be equipping him with a motorbike to help him reach rural churches with more Scripture recordings and Bible studies. He will also be equipped with a small notebook computer to help him load more recordings onto the MP3 players.
We thank God for the huge work that Domingos has been doing recently as he distributes the Sunday school books to rural churches. Please continue to pray for this very important work with children and young people. Domingos can be seen in a recent photo on the left training Sunday school teachers.
Our work of distributing recordings of the Scriptures in the Sena language is now being done more and more with the use of MP3 players (known as Sabers). However out in the field many rural churches are still using the hand driven tape players (known as messengers) until such time as we have sufficient Sabers. And to help those churches using the messengers, we recently received some solar panels which will prolong the life of the messengers for sometime to come, and make them easier to use. These have been supplied by Good News Media, and we thank God that GNM have been able to supply us with the panels. The photo on the right is an old one of Inácio with a pastor who had received one of the messengers. Inácio has one of the flip charts that helps to illustrate the recordings.
